We are Maarten Mulder and Nicole van den Akker. We have met in 2010 and are together since August 2012. After one year of dating we travelled together to South Africa and joked to each other about travelling by car to South Africa. In 2015, again in South Africa, we decided to make this dream come true and started saving money. 3,5 years later our departure date is coming closer. We have saved enough money, we are very well prepared and are very much looking forward to it!

Let our adventure together begin!

Maarten Mulder

Born in September 1994 in IJmuiden. After my study Accountmanagement I have started working in the automotive. Since two years I work for Vectus Lease

What I am looking forward to the most: The problems with the car and getting stuck somewhere. 

What I am not looking forward to:  Not showering for over a week.

What I am going to miss the most: Drinking beers with my friends.

Nicole van den Akker

Born in July 1991 in IJmuiden. After high school I started Sport, Management and Business. In my forth year I went for an internship to South Africa for 7 months. I went back several times ever since. For the moment I work temporarely at Maandag untill our trips begins.

What I am looking forward to the most: All days we will wake up at the beach and decide to do whatever we feel like. 

What I am not looking forward to: All the problems with the car and getting stuck somewhere.

What I am going to miss the most: So many lovely people back home and of course the two already most adorable baby's. Oh, and cheese!
